How do you and your baby benefit from massage?
Touch can be described as an infant’s first language. Use of healing touching and massage with your baby is a powerful way you can communicate your love and caring. Massage creates feelings of security, comfort, and body awareness within your baby. This supports their emotional and physical development, enhances sleeping and feeding, and strengthens the bond between you and your baby.
Massage is particularly beneficial to babies who were born prematurely, as well as those with more complex medical/health backgrounds who benefit from additional developmental support. As an experienced pediatric occupational therapist Juelaine is able to provide special support and therapeutic handling for these babies and assistance for their families.
Infant massage is especially beneficial for:
Premature Infants
Mothers experiencing postpartum depression
Adoptive babies and parents

Teenage parents
Babies and mothers recovering from substance addiction
Babies with complex medical history or developmental differences
